Restoring Mediterranean marine ecosystems is a complex and challenging task, but it is necessary for maintaining the health of the Mediterranean Sea and ensuring long-term human well-being. Restoration is considered as one of the key nature-based solutions to ensure more resilient ecosystems, capable of providing services and goods.
SPA/RAC is launching a call for consultation to make an inventory of marine ecosystem restoration projects in the Mediterranean (Seagrass meadows restoration, Artificial reefs, Coral reef restoration and removal of marine debris etc..), to identify best practices, measures and lessons learned.
