Follow‑up: Consultations for updating the national action plan to combat pollution in Tunisia and for preparing the national baseline inventory of pollutant emissions/releases.

This consultation has been completed

The SPA/RAC, in collaboration with MedPOL, is relaunching two consultations aimed at updating:

  • the National Action Plan (NAP) to combat pollution in Tunisia and,
  • the preparation of the national baseline assessment (NBA) of pollutant emissions/discharges.

This update will be based on the guidance provided in the documents and guidelines prepared by the UNEP/MAP Secretariat. It will also take into account the analyses from the national diagnostic report, developed in the framework of the MedProgramme Project (Child Project 1.1 – Reducing pollution by harmful chemicals and waste in Mediterranean hotspots and measuring progress on impact).

In addition, the evaluation will integrate the MED QSR 2023 evaluations, as well as other relevant national assessments and reports, including the DTA report.

This initiative complements the actions undertaken in the framework of the EcAp MED PLUS project, which supports the Contracting Parties of the Southern Mediterranean in the review, development and upgrading of their national programmes and action plans.
