1. Acceptance of the Terms
Access to and use of this website (the “Site”) constitute acceptance of these Terms of Use by any user (the “User”).
If the User does not agree with these Terms, they are advised not to use the Site.
2. Purpose of the Site
The Site is provided for institutional and technical information purposes related to the activities, projects, publications and events of the SPA/RAC, acting within the framework of the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Information made available on the Site does not constitute contractual commitments.
3. Site Administration
The Site is administered by SPA/RAC in its capacity as a Regional Activity Centre of UNEP/MAP.
All content is published within the scope of SPA/RAC’s institutional mandate.
4. Use of Content
Unless otherwise expressly stated:
- texts, documents, reports, images and other materials available on the Site (the “Content”) may be accessed, downloaded and reproduced for personal, educational or non-commercial purposes, provided that proper acknowledgement of the source is made;
- any commercial use, redistribution or adaptation requires prior written authorization.
Third-party intellectual property rights are respected and acknowledged where applicable.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
All Content is provided “as is”, without any express or implied warranties, including as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose.
SPA/RAC and UNEP reserve the right to modify, update or remove Content at any time without notice.
6. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall SPA/RAC, UNEP or their partners be liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of, or inability to access, the Site, including errors, omissions, interruptions or technical failures.
Use of the Site is at the User’s sole risk.

SPA/RAC exercises no control over such sites and assumes no responsibility for their content, policies or practices.
The inclusion of external links does not imply endorsement.

The collection and processing of personal data are governed by the Site’s Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy, established in accordance with the United Nations Secretariat Data Protection and Privacy Policy (ST/SGB/2024/3).

The designations employed and the presentation of geographic information on the Site do not imply the expression of any opinion by SPA/RAC, MAP or UNEP concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city or area, or the delimitation of its frontiers or boundaries.

Nothing in these Terms of Use shall be construed as a waiver, express or implied, of the privileges and immunities of UNEP, MAP or SPA/RAC under international law.
11. Amendments
SPA/RAC reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time.
Such amendments shall take effect upon publication on the Site.
