Within the framework of the Integrated Monitoring and Assessment Programme of the Mediterranean Sea and Coast and Related Assessment Criteria (IMAP), SPA/RAC is launching a call for consultancy to engage a regional or international expert to support the update of the Guidance Factsheet for Common Indicator 24, addressing ingestion and entanglement of marine litter by sea turtles under Ecological Objective 10 (EO10) on marine litter.
The updated Guidance Factsheet is intended to be submitted for review and endorsement by the relevant MAP technical and institutional meetings, including CORMON Marine Litter and MED POL Focal Points Meetings, to be held in 2026–2027.
This revision is essential to ensure that recent scientific developments, updated monitoring protocols, regional datasets, MED QSR recommendations, operational strategies, and ongoing work on baseline and threshold values are fully reflected.
This initiative is supported by the Marine Litter MED Plus project funded by the European Union.
