The Specially Protected Areas Regional Activity Centre (SPA/RAC) is launching a call for consultation for the recruitment of a National Expert to conduct an assessment of Blue Economy potential and constraints in Libya.

The consultancy aims to deliver a clear and comprehensive assessment of Libya’s blue economy sectors—particularly marine fisheries, biodiversity, and marine ecosystem services—and to support key processes related to:

  • Engaging national stakeholders;
  • organizing and facilitating national consultation activities;
  • establishing, structuring, and operationalizing a national FishEBM Med stakeholder platform on blue economy and sustainable fisheries.

This activity is implemented under the FishEBM Med Project, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and coordinated by SPA/RAC.

The selected consultant will work in close coordination with the project’s National Focal Point within the Ministry of Environment of Libya.
